THE USUAL SUSPECTS

Although the Bengal tiger is the biggest attractor to the park, you should try to open your mind to the diverse wilderness that awaits you. A multitude of different species exist there and this section is dedicated to the other great wildlife characters that you can spot while driving around the park. Some, like the spotted deer and grey langur monkeys, are far easier than others... the sloth bear, for example, is largely nocturnal but can be seen during the first and last hours of light.

In recent visits I've seen palm civet, pangolin and porcupine, all of which are extremely rare sightings. But it does prove that if you are vigilant and have a good guide there is no limit to what you might see.

28:09:2007 - The galleries are currently being updated. The tigers and birds are live, but the others are not yet ready. Apologies for any inconvenience.
